As the New Age Dawns

So much has happened since the last time I wrote to you. I’ve been very busy transforming my life and that begins with caring for my body, mind and soul with tenderness and love, yet also maintaining discipline in order to keep moving forward despite sometimes stumbling along the way, or perhaps even taking backwards steps, but then I either get back up and brush myself off, or I turn back around towards the Sun and do what needs to be done to stay alive.

Transcendental Meditation has been such a helpful tool for me to learn how to live with my anxiety through a pandemic. Not only that, but combined with yoga and an Ayurvedic routine, diet, and herbs, has enabled me to discontinue nearly all pharmaceutical medications which I was taking for close to a decade. Some longer.

I’m now in my third year of graduate studies at the Maharishi International University. I also just passed the state massage exam, the MBLEX, on 12/22/2020! I graduated from massage school in the Spring of 2003, so I am very thankful that I studied so extensively!

I finally quit smoking cigarettes for the last time and forever last April, giving me more of a chance of survival with a severe respiratory virus wreaking havoc on humanity currently. It was hard. No judgment here on any who haven’t been able to do this yet. I did not do so cold turkey right away. I had many false starts, but since I developed a respiratory illness last January which may have been COVID-19, I was scared and wanted to be able to keep breathing. Besides which, the extreme absurdity of continuing that habit while pursuing my Master’s degree in AyurVedic Wellness could not stop impressing itself upon me, and my angels stepped in and literally helped lift them from me.

I had a decent garden last summer, with cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, spinach, and cilantro. Rosemary, basil, thyme, mint, two kinds of sage, marjoram, lavender, milkweed and lemongrass. Also grew petunias and snapdragons and choleus, kolanchoe and aloe vera. This year I plan to add potatoes, garlic, green onions, kale, green beans, squash, corn, peas, and carrots. Perhaps a blackberry bush and definitely morning glories and moonflowers along my fence to help provide more shade.

The pandemic and my own knowledge about astrology along with what I have read about prophecies concerning this shifting of the ages has prompted me to focus on growing food for myself and two youngest grandkids, who are now nearly 10 and nearly 18.

My garden began back when I lived at Emerald Greens and only had a few containers. It’s been a slow process expanding it, and now I’m taking the steps to make sure it’s a priority next month so we can start making salads from our backyard by March!

So many prayers for all who are suffering or struggling or have lost loved ones due to this disease. Please get as much sunshine as possible and take vitamin D3 to help your immune system! Thought I would just give you an update on my life. One last thing – I love you and I know you are much stronger than you had ever imagined. Because I found out this is true for me. And if this is true for me, it’s true for you too. I love you and believe in you! We are the ones we’ve been waiting for!

That’s so weird that I included this picture of myself from at least three years earlier. So funnym
