Now it’s already July 01, and just getting around to the important aspects of this week. Been super busy! Yoga four times so far this week, a great physical therapy session, doctor visit which went well (my heart is strong), and four hot stone massages, three days with my Loralai and the sudden manifestation of a car. I was talking about getting one soon over a year ago, and at this point I had pretty much surrendered the idea, had written down the stages I needed to go through first, and suddenly my daughter was given a decent SUV and so she gave me her car. And my son JJ went out and bought himself a car yesterday. He’s a Virgo. Usually earth signs are very good at managing their money. I digress.
This week Kaypacha talks at us from a meadow overlooking a bay, but I am not sure of the location. It’s beautiful, though, as is the report.
Wednesday the Moon was still in Virgo, but she moved on into Libra yesterday, the beautiful energy of which was palpable last night. Just love Oklahoma summer night thunderstorms! Especially when just a couple friends visit. In Libra the Moon is influenced by Venus, creating potential romantic encounters. Mercury and Mars are conjunct all weekend, along with the Sun, which are all trine Pisces in Neptune, opposite Pluto in Capricorn, squaring it off. The Moon is conjunct Jupiter in Libra, bringing the feminine energies alive on this planet. Saturn is still in Sagittarius and Uranus is in Aries, and although Venus is still in Taurus, she is moving on into Gemini on Tuesday, creating a lift in the energies.
When the Moon reaches 9 degrees and 24 minutes of Libra, we will be in our first quarter square. I frequently feel inspired to light candles and connect with Nature in any way possible for the auspicious stages of the Moon (like sitting outside on my balcony next to my growing garden, but further out and away from civilization is preferable). Monday, when she is in Scorpio, she is going to oppose Uranus.
Also on Monday, she will trine the Sun, trine Neptune and sextile Pluto, which will be amazing. All in all, we will be having a Grand Cross with all the aspects going on.
The Cancer – Capricorn opposition creates a longing for connection, for nurturing, for touch. There will be a desire to connect with the other, friends, family, lovers, the community. We need each other for support, love, nurturing, procreation, and protection. At the same time Mars in Cancer will tend to lead us toward beautiful, sexual, amazing lovemaking connections. This is the weekend for it while Venus still basks in Taurus, one of the two signs she rules (Libra is the other, so hence a gob ton of Venusian energy to compliment three signs in Cancer and one in Pisces. Once Venus moves into Gemini, Pluto in Capricorn will be the only earth sign for a wee bit.
This is a weekend to fall in love, or fall back in love. Mars in Cancer opposite Pluto in Capricorn provides a strong magnetic pull, while Venus in Taurus is all about being in our bodies, honoring them, and loving ourselves first and foremost, but that’s what leads to love with another. When we are in love with life, with ourselves, and with the Universe, we radiate and attract love. It just happens.
Kaypacha then mentions one of Michael Moore’s films which I happened to watch a couple months ago, “Where Are We Going To Invade Next?” Moore goes to many different countries and asks important qualities about various topics like paid vacation time, mental health care, school lunches, shorter school days and work days, and brings up the powerful women of Iceland, who had a peaceful revolution and jailed their corrupt bankers. These women ask Moore how do the people in the United States sleep at night, where we are in a patriarchy on steroids and individualism has gone overboard. How can we be at peace with veterans and others living on the streets and the many other injustices going on which have gone rather amuck to a whole new extreme lately. We can learn a lot from Iceland!
The feminine focuses on community, as does the Age of Aquarius, and the South Node of the Moon in Aquarius will also call us to stand up for all our communities. But many have to wake up first.
He says all this and much much more, perhaps now that it’s the weekend you will have time to watch it, but my apology for the delay, time has been just whizzing on by. The shadow aspect of Cancer is getting all wrapped up in ourselves and needing attention, needing to be held, seeking approval, and being perhaps unconscious. The lighter side is the desire to nurture, care for the home and the children, and to give love and friendship.
Mars and Mercury opposing Pluto can also get people into a space of wanting more, more money, more sex, more, more, more until we are addicted in a codependent fashion. So this is something to be mindful of and keep our boundaries clear and our chakras balanced and auras nice and glassy smooth, not sponges at all. Jupiter in Libra encourages us to listen to other people and pay attention to their needs as well.
This week’s mantra: I can be a bottomless pit, of longing and needing more until such a time as I realize I am filled with love to the core.
Because we are love! That is our essence.
Kaypacha’s Farewell: Namaste. Aloha. So. Much. Love.
Kamea’s Farewell: A’ho Mitakuye Oyasin, my friends. We are all related. I love you and I finally love me.
