I apologize for posting the legend of the rainbow warrior without any text before the link last week. I had written a brief summary, but it apparently disappeared.
I was blessed to visit my sweet Alyssa last Sunday. First time to hug her since last February! But had to give her the news about her best friend, who had turned 27 just seventeen days earlier. Our whole family is torn up about this – we all loved her. But now she is in a better place. She was beautiful, sweet, vivacious, tiny, smart and wonderful. There will be a memorial for her here in our town this Sunday, for which we are thankful because we weren’t able to make it to New Mexico on Monday.
Today we had the blessing of going to watch little Loralai dance with the rest of the pre-K and Kindergarten classrooms. She looked like she had a lot of fun. The young lady has rhythm!
The other good news of the week is that the Army Corps of Engineers denied the easement to the Dakota Access Pipeline for the final drilling below the Missouri River, but apparently the companies in charge – Energy Transfer Partners and Sunoco – don’t really care whether or not the federal government grants the final easement. But, I do believe this denial is a good sign and will set a precedent around the planet – time to go green, people, before it’s way too late!
This week’s Pele Report comes from Koh PahNgan, an island off the coast of Thailand, shortly after one of the worst storms in the past 15-20 years.
The Moon was in Pisces yesterday, conjunct the South Node in Neptune, creating chaos in so many people’s lives. Today it moves into Aries, Sunday it moves into Taurus, then on Tuesday, when the Moon becomes full, it will be at 22 degrees of Gemini.
Venus is in Aquarius along with Mars, Jupiter is squaring Pluto, coming tighter in opposition to Uranus. Saturn is trining Uranus and sextiling Jupiter, so things are very intense. On Saturday, the Sun will be in exact conjunction with Saturn, and Mercury is trine the North Node.
This is chaos time! A lot of unexpected surprises, jolts, messages, things going haywire and stuff like that, but this is both a powerful time and a very good time.
In February Jupiter goes retrograde until June. In April, Saturn goes retrograde until August, at which point both will go forward again for the rest of 2017. Saturn in Sagittarius is calling for truth – Uranus in Aries brings us the shocking truth, and now we have both Venus and Mars in Aquarius, which has to do with the future – time to re-invent ourselves. New visions, planning out next year, planning out our lives, who we want to be with, what our purpose is. When the planets go retrograde, we can look at our lives as a living room needing a new couch, so it’s time to rearrange the old living room, paint the walls, clean the place up and declutter before we are ready for our new couch. Re-envision, reflect, make new friends, new ideas, then in the Spring, bring these ideas to fruition. Work on our habits, focus, etc., so we can focus and manifest our dreams without wasting our time and energy on those things and people who don’t serve our highest good. Time to focus on new communities, new people, reaching out.
Jupiter in Libra wants love and relationships, while Uranus in Aries wants freedom and space, solitude. Pluto in Capricorn tells us we have responsibilities and duties and don’t have time for relationships or solitude. We have to figure it out! There is a lot of pressure with this T-square going on the whole year. This week we may wish to break free and break out. Depression is a natural way of unplugging from an insane world. Maybe we should honor our feelings and allow ourselves time to be alone, unplug, cut the cords from the past so we can move forward this next Spring.
The challenge will be to stay balanced and not become too upset by the revelations pouring out of the media, the internet, or out of the mouths of our significant others. Tom says it is almost like truth serum is being poured on planet earth. We are our brothers and sisters’ keepers.
This week’s mantra: If by chance I lose my way, but sincerely desire to grow, Spirit will surely bring to me, brothers and sisters who know.
This is a time of great change. Maybe time to let go of some friends and making some new friends, but also time to create social structures which work for all, not a time for selfishness or detaching too much. Non-attachment is the upside of Aquarius – not trying to get anything specific but trying to learn, grow and connect. Detachment has more to do with running away and hiding.
I am ready to join new groups! I wish to live in an intentional community and travel around the world someday to help with this process. Kaypacha has even joined Instagram! I am about to get back into that myself – just had to buy a new phone as my other one literally fried while I was plugging it in last week.
Kaypacha says: Namaste. Aloha. So. Much. Love.
Kamea says: Rainbow Blessings. Om namaha shivaya. A’ho Mitakuye Oyasin.
