Reflecting on
this life
this body
fashioned
of clay
and
stardust,

the many
times
of
running
from the
pain.

Reaching
for
the
light

and

not

listening.

This is
not my time
to travel
towards
the sun.

The folly
of Icarus
reminds me
to love
my own
flesh
into
being,
lest I,
too,
melt
these
wings
upon
ascent.
